Hydrogen and the Immune System With all the attention focused on the immune system, most modern scientists have overlooked the critical importance of the biological terrain, the role of Hydrogen, and Hydrogen ions in the body. Recalling basic chemistry, Hydrogen (H) is the smallest of all atoms having a single negatively charged electron, running around its positively charged nucleus. With the discovery of Microhydrin™, we now know that an additional electron (negatively charged) can be added, creating an Ion (H-) and giving the Hydrogen a negative potential. Hydrogen ions occur throughout the body. Because of their small size they can penetrate into every cell. Without Hydrogen there would be no communication between cells, no cellular division, no energy, no life. Babies are born with a large reservoir of Hydrogen; however the supply declines with age. Hydrogen also composes the spiral arms of DNA and holds the peptides onto the DNA. The body cannot repair DNA damage without abundant Hydrogen. Cells Must Have Hydrogen Oxygen does not work without Hydrogen - in fact Oxygen burns Hydrogen to fuel the body. Sixty percent of the food you eat is used to produce a source of energy called ATP. When ATP is formed, the two Hydrogen atoms combine with Oxygen to produce a byproduct, pure water, also critical to life. If there is an ample supply of electrons in the body, production of ATP increases, adding to the energy level without increased toxicity. We frequently hear from people who experience increased energy and physical performance after taking Microhydrin™. If our ATP supply dropped by only 1/2 of one percent we would barely be able to function. How Antioxidants Work Free radicals, toxins and poisons are incomplete - they are missing an electron. Like a gang of thieves, they run through the body stealing electrons from healthy cells, causing us to age faster, and increasing the risk of many chronic diseases. Free radicals are also plentiful in foods high in fat, sugar or alcohol, as well as in toxic chemicals, and polluted air and water. Free radicals are created by the very act of breathing. Each cell is attacked by over 100,000 free radicals daily. Clinical studies in medical journals have reported the efficacy of supplemental antioxidants in reducing free radical damage. Microhydrin™ appears to be most effective antioxidant in existence. Antioxidants like Vitamins C, E and Pycnogenol give electrons to free radicals to make them harmless. Of course our bodily fluids have a certain natural ability to do this, along with organic raw fruits and vegetables. Although antioxidants have many unique properties, the molecules are large, and the number of electrons which they have to give is limited. Once they give up their single electron, they too become devoid of an electron becoming free radicals themselves, although not as lethal as the original free radical they neutralized. This process is known as the cascade effect. Microhydrin™ - Flanagan's Hydrogen Enhanced Silica Hydride - has a powerful effect on all free radicals including those formed from other antioxidants as well. For example, Vitamin C, once having released its electron, is known as dehydroascorbic acid - literally ascorbic acid without hydrogen. Microhydrin™ replaces the Hydrogen and the electron to restore the ascorbic acid (or any other antioxidant) to its full original potency. Introducing Hydrogen Into The Body with Microhydrin™ The Drs. Flanagan searched for a more effective way to provide the missing electrons, and concluded that Hydrogen was the answer. It is the smallest of atoms, and an extra negatively charged electron could be added creating a Hydrogen ion (H-) The question arose of how to introduce these ions into the body. This was made possible by a proprietary delivery system which had previously been developed by the Flanagans called Microcluster® Technology. Dr. Patrick Flanagan was nominated for The Nobel Prize because of this discovery. Microclustered® Microhydrin™ became the end product. The free radicals, poisons, toxins, and even plaque on our teeth are positively charged; because of the negative charge of the Hydrogen ion, they tend to attract each other, and therefore neutralization can occur. The Biological Terrain A critical factor for health is the biological terrain. The biochemistry of the fluids in which your cells live is known as your biological terrain. It is defined by three factors: The pH (= the power of Hydrogen) identifies acidity/alkalinity The Antioxidant power per cubic centimeter (rH = relative Hydrogen) The Electrical conductivity

The Biological Terrain Analyzer has been used to test the bodily fluids of over a million people. The following simplified graphs illustrate the general criteria for a healthy biological terrain, as well as outline the conditions that support disease. Figure 1 shows the relative Hydrogen (rH) scale. The neutral point is at 28. Below this point, each increment (27 through 0) grows by the power of ten (that is, the number of electrons in a cubic centimeter is ten times that of the previous increment). The scale identifies mainly the Hydrogen ions (H-), essentially revealing the number of free electrons available in the fluid tested. For example, a glass of freshly squeezed organic orange juice was tested for electron content. The identical test was made with apple, carrot juices and Microhydrin™ (Flanagan Hydrogen Enhanced Silica Hydride). The amazing results are shown in Figure 1. Above 28, the count is that of Hydrogen (H, H+) identifying the oxidation area where diseases thrive as we approach the top of the graph.

Figure 2 shows a theoretical use of the Biological Terrain Analyzer, using the rH vs. pH scales. The vertical axis indicates the relative number of electrons in the body (rH). Above the horizontal line the number of negatively charged Hydrogen ions decrease dramatically until, at the top of the graph, they are virtually nonexistent. The oxidized fluid being tested here provides fertile breeding ground for diseases.

Below the horizontal line in Figure 2, electron numbers increase not linearly but by the power of ten, as described in the first graph. The horizontal axis represents the pH scale. To the left of the vertical line (Neutral point), acidity increases linearly, while to the right alkalinity increases. Note that the ideal biological terrain is found in a slightly acid region in the relatively moderate electron zone. One specific disease has been placed on the graph, while others have been omitted for clarity.

Figure 3 illustrates the same events as Figure 2, but with a new perspective using the pH vs. Redox Potential scales. The pH on the horizontal axis increases linearly from the left, while the vertical axis is the Redox Potential (related to the rH scale). The area rich in electrons, which can be created with Microhydrin™, is the environment most likely to foster good health.

Los Angeles Water Neutralized In a glass of water, Microhydrin™ reduced the Redox Potential dramatically. (Dr. Higgins, of Los Angeles CA, tested a glass of L.A. water. The oxidized level was +500; but after adding only one capsule of Microhydrin,™ the redox potential dropped to -550!) This means that instead of stealing electrons, the water actually became an electron donor! When the biological terrain is out of the healthy range, the cells cannot perform. A person is then at high risk to contract a wide spectrum of acute and chronic diseases. They are also susceptible to rapid physical deterioration and aging. During a severe disease, the body excretes electrons through the urine as the virus or bacteria attempts to move the biological terrain to one that best suits its growth and development, as opposed to one that favors the individual's best health. During this century, despite many technological advances, we have declined in many ways. Food consumption has changed from organic raw foods to highly processed and sprayed foods low in nutritional value. Over 100,000 new chemicals, unnatural to man, have been introduced into our air and water, causing increased pollution. All of these changes affect the chemistry of our bodily fluids, increasing the number of free radicals, and changing our biological terrain. Many believe the increased incidence of chronic and life threatening diseases in this century can be linked to these changes. A Technological Breakthrough The Flanagan's discoveries have recently created a nutritional product that warrants close attention. It is a quantum leap in health protection. With its many benefits, it appears to be by far, the most powerful antioxidant available on the market. As stated, the small size Hydrogen atom provides the most concentrated source of antioxidant power. Each tiny Hydrogen atom can carry and give up an extra electron more efficiently. For example it would take 10,000 glasses of fresh organic orange juice to deliver the same number of electrons as one capsule of Microhydrin™. This is because the Vitamin C molecule is so much larger than the Hydrogen atom. In addition, because of its size, the Hydrogen atom can easily penetrate all cells, even passing through the blood-brain barrier where other antioxidants cannot reach.
